Skiing
In the midst of the three-thousand-meter peaks, a fascinating backdrop and endless skiing pleasure await you. Here you can still really ski without overcrowded slopes or mass tourism.
Ankogel - powder snow insider tip
Leave everyday life thousands of metres below and get to know the Alps from their most beautiful angle. In the middle of the three-thousand-metre peaks, you will find a fascinating backdrop and endless skiing pleasure.
The powder paradise of the Ankogel awaits you with breathtaking long-distance views and fantastic slopes. From the mountain station to the valley, you cover 1,400 metres of altitude descent on 25 km of first-class prepared slopes.
In the upper part of the ski area, carvers and snowboarders find ideal slopes for long turns, while beginners first practice at the Köfele lifts near the valley station.
The extensive, free ski area at the Ankogel has long been an insider tip in the freeride scene.
Glacier skiing - guaranteed snow
The Mölltal Glacier in the nearby Flattach (14 km away) attracts winter sports enthusiasts with special features such as all year-round snow security, exciting glacier descents and generous slopes: ideal conditions for carvers, ski racers and boarders.
The journey in the Glacier Express only takes eight minutes. The comfortable funicular takes you to the ski area at the central station at 2,200 m. Then you continue with the Eisseebahn, a 6-way gondola lift, up to the glacier ski area.
Of course, beginners are also welcome. Directly at the middle station there are special beginners slopes for the first attempts in winter sports.
